Childhood Window

The view out of my old bedroom window at Mom and Dad's house the morning after I arrived last week. I spent many an hour gazing out of this window during my childhood and adolescence. SO many hours!

Double Oops!

I've forgotten about it too until this minute. GREAT pic by the way... really really like that one. My battery is about to run out (and the wire is still packed). It's been hard to get online and my parents have dial-up (!!!) so everything is slow slow slow. I shudder to think how long it would take to upload a pic. Haven't taken many yet after schlepping my camera and laptop over here. Sooo... it's possible i may not post this pic til I get back -- in time for the next window wednesday! Hope you have a safe trip! Sorry about the lateness!

two fer

san jose hotel austin, texas

a day late and a few brain cells shorter than before... these are slightly blurry and atmospheric, which just happened to appropriately match my state of mind at the time. it was raining and dusky and i was sipping "champassion" after a week filled with sipping margaritas and cervesas and eating lots of tacos and bbq & staying up way too late.

Work Work Work

Since work is proving to be a complete nightmare this week, thought I'd post this one from there: a view from the window immediately after our big "snowstorm" in February.

Closed, but inviting

This shop was in the otherwise largely derelict town of Austin, Nevada. A gem of a find on Route 50, "The Loneliest Road in America". May 2006.
